Fallen Academy: Year One Reviews

    Sassy, sexy, YA/NA paranormal romance.

This book didn't really stand out for me, so I don't think I'll read on in the series, but is was still a fast entertaining read.

I love books like this! Stories that have an element of school/training + action scenes + romance + powers/abilities are totally my jam! I can't wait for book 2 to be out!

    Oh-so good!

I absolutely loved this book. I love this world Leia Stone has created and the characters that inhabit it. I am totally cheering for Bri and have found a favourite character in her best mate Shae. Filled with humour, I actually laughed out loud several times whilst reading this. It has everything I want in a book: Fantastic story-telling, an intricate and complex yet believable world, 3-dimensional characters who don't fit in a neat, stereotypical mould, a bit of romance, and a seriou

    4.0 -4.5!? I can't decide! It's good!

This is the first time I'm reading a book that is solely Leia Stone (rather than a collaboration) and it did not disappoint. Essentially, mutant humans caught up in a war between angels and demons in a post-fallen world? Oh yeah, I'm going to read that every time.

The novel had all the classical hooks of the o.g. paranormal books:

Super special heroine with badass powers and spitfire side kick? check!

Super elite school to train and fight the baddies? double ch

Wow!! I am amazed. (Well not really bc we all know that anything Leia write is gonna be amazing) but seriously this book is LIT! You laugh and cry and you have love hate relationships *cough* Lincoln *cough* Brielle is an outcast among her peers but does she let that bring her down?? Hell no. She keeps her head up and keeps trying to be the best she can be, with her awesome crew of course. I cant wait until book 2 is out!

    Overwhelmed with happiness

This is her best written work and best storyline. I love that the series is broken into school years and I want to attend this school.

If you like vampire academy and the covenant series, this is a must read.

The main characters Lincoln and Bri are fabulous because they are themselves and are not afraid to display it. The side characters add life and are enjoyable to get to know.

The only down side of this book is the length, I have that thought every time I deeply and

I really really really really liked the idea of this book. I loved the idea of Fallen Academy, the variety of supernatural creatures, the Archangels and Demons, and pretty much the whole storyline except the main character Brielle.

But I could not handle Brielle. She was okay until around 54% of the book, then it seemed like she just turned a flip in her head and became quite childish and immature. For a character who was supposed to be this special snowflake and a badass, her priorities were all
