Just One of the Royals (The Chicago Falcons #2) Reviews
I received Just one of the Royals by Leah and Kate Rooper from Netgalley. It has no impact on my thoughts. My thoughts are my own.
I was very excited when I first heard about Just One of the Royals. It's very surprising, but I love a good hockey story. And if you add in some royalty to it? HUGE BONUS!! I quickly started it when I got it and was very pleased that it met my expectations.
Just One of the Royals is the second book to The Chicago Falcon's series by Leah and Kate Rooper. They could al ...more

Just One of the Royals by Leah and Kate Rooper is the 2nd book in The Chicago Falcons series. Just One of the Royals is a sweet, fun, and delightful YA contemporary romance and part of the Entangled Teen Crush series. Daniel Sacachelli loves hockey, but he has a secret. Madison Myong and Daniel have been best friends, but is there anything more? I love this genre, there is something so innocent about first loves. I love the quirky people and situations in this book, and watching the characters g ...more
Falcons' hockey player, Daniel Sacachelli, has a secret; he is the bastard son to the King of Eldonia. After his father’s passing, he needs to head to Eldonia to take up the crown, so his family does not lose their kingdom. He enlists the help of his best friend, Madison Myong, to help him clean up his image. This contemporary sports romance is suitable for young adults.
I like Daniel. He is a Junior League hockey player. He loves his half-sister, Evangeline Harwell. He would do anything for her ...more
A hothead hockey player finds himself in the middle of the Princess Diaries. Only, he's the royal. Not her. Thoroughly enjoyed reading about teenagers being stupid teenagers who can't communicate how much they're into each other. Yep, it was totally annoying about their lack of social communication skills, but, hey, that's so true for any kid who's sixteen. I mean, how in the world could any teenager come to grips with suddenly taking on the mantle of ruling a kingdom? Especially a kingdom that ...more
Just One of the Royals is the typical cliche love story with somewhat cute characters and a very predictable plot. We follow the life of our two main characters Daniel and Madison. Daniel is a hockey player and Madison desires to be an actress but her parents do not let her because of their background and because she thinks she should be a doctor. The plot twist comes in when Daniel apparently is also a Prince of some kingdom, after his father's death he must assume power and become King or the ...more
Note that I had no idea this was the second book to a series. Although this had been the case, the story was still easy to follow and was quite entertaining. In tradition to "The Princess Diaries" (except the main character is a prince), the story follows Daniel (an illegitimate son and heir to a throne) and Madison (an immigrant with a dream).
It was interesting to read about the thoughts of a secret prince and the other POV from Madison. They were similar to each other as they were both hesita ...more
