the ‘uglies’ series was one of my all time favourites as a teen. so what a treat its been get the chance to re-enter that world 10 years later in a brand new story.
scanning the reviews for this, there has been one word that keeps popping up and that is ‘nonstop.’ i cant think of a better word to describe this book. this hits the ground running from the very first chapter and honestly doesnt slow down. its action packed, full of daring rebellion and planning. the fact that there was always somet ...more
Ahhh when did this happened? I had no idead this existed until I saw the next book untitled prospect.
Honestly this sound interesting enough, and I'm guessing that the story exist in the Uglies universe so seeing the little nods and tidbits to previous installments will be fun.
Love me a twisty scifi from an old fave!
So excited about the continuation of this series. Loved this book and can't wait to see where things go!
The original Uglies series was what really got me into reading YA, and I can say with all honesty that I think Scott Westerfeld is a YA-writing genius! I started this book on Saturday night & finished it slightly before 2am on Sunday morning. I’m sick & *so* tired, but I just literally could not put this book down.
I’m loving that Westerfeld is writing again in the world of Uglies, and this new storyline has me absolutely (and obviously) hooked. This story was jam-packed with action... a ...more
I preordered this book in APRIL. That's how excited I was. Unfortunately, when I got it, I was really worried about not liking it, since I loved the original Uglies series so much, but THIS DIDN'T DISAPPOINT, THANK YOU SCOTT WESTERFELD. I'm gonna get kinda fangirl-y in this review, and I haven't reviewed a book thoroughly in a while.
First off, I loved the characters. It took a little longer to get used to them, especially since they weren't Tally and co, but I still eventually fell in love with ...more
Very intrigued to see where this series will go! Major cliffhanger ending! It took me a little bit to get back into the world, especially since Frey is more or less just a mirror for her sister and it took her a while to really show her own personality.
HERE IT IS I AM SO HAPPY I CAN'T AHHHH MOST ANTICIPATED RELEASE EVER!
Also, I will say when I saw the trailer I thought it was becoming a movie franchise or something... BUT THIS IS SO MUCH BETTER. SO MANY STORIES TO BE TOLD IN THIS WORLD I AM SO BEYOND EXCITED!
